Was a super fun class. Challenging but learned a new skill which is always fun. I will have to practice to get it perfect next time I make the focaccia! JJ was lovely and would enjoy taking other classes she teaches.

Paella
Anonymous review on 1/12/2021
I really enjoyed this class, but wish the instructor took a bit more time going through the dish! The class felt a bit rushed and even ended an hour early, since the instructor's paella was done, even though mine and some others' weren't. It felt like maybe she had somewhere else to be! That said, the dish was delicious and I enjoyed learning how to make it! I will use this recipe and the techniques I learned in the future!

Ciabatta Workshop
Reviewed by Roseann M. on 1/10/2021
Chef JJ was passionate about making Ciabatta and it came through with her enthusiasm and very easy way of explaining things. I made 4 beautiful loaves and had dinner with my daughter and her husband that night which included a loaf of Ciabatta bread cut into slices, drizzled with EVO and topped with fresh mozzarella..one word Delish! I am planning on taking additional sessions with Chef JJ.
Mastering Macarons Special Workshop

This class was a great introduction to macaron making. Since the making of Macarons tends to be a little difficult sometimes it’s nice to hear tricks of the trade from folks who have made them and how to avoid mistakes that prevent you from making a perfect macaron. I’ve made several batches since to work on perfecting the process. Would definitely take another class again.

Went too fast at the first session. They had previously measurements and didn't inform us to do that as well.
Artisan Bread Workshop: Brioche (Online)

EXCELLENT instructor. She was encouraging, engaging and very patient. This was the very first time for me to make bread and I thought the class would be way over my head but she emailed me in advance to reassure me that I could do it and I did make a great loaf even though my dough did not rise until hours later.
I would take classes from JJ again.

OMG. The class was so much fun. Darrell (instructor) was very knowledgeable and so much fun. He answered all my questions and gave helpful suggestions. I already tried 2 things I made (simple syrup and infused gin w/jalapeno pepper). Both are excellent. Class was so much fun I already signed up for another class he offered.

Chef JJ was outstanding overall and her knowledge of the sourdough process was very thorough. She made a house call for me bc I was having issues w too wet a dough and she knew what to do to make it turn out ok. This was a great first experience in both bread making and Zoom cooking class. Thank you!
