Into cooking? We are, too.
In fact, we're kind of crazy about it. There's something addictive about turning ingredients into sustenance, and sharing your creations with people you love. There's a reason why everyone gathers in the kitchen. It's the beating heart of every home. BLVD Kitchen aims to be the heart of our Sherman Oaks neighborhood, and a place for Los Angeles cooks of all kinds!
Try one of our casual, hands-on cooking classes, or come in and cook with your family, friends and neighbors for Community Sunday Supper.

My daughter had a great time and enjoyed the wonderful meal. Until next time. Angelica
Not what I expected. My daughter loves baking and this class was very disappointing. The teacher did all the baking while the kids just got a lesson. I expected more hands on experience. My daugher was so excited to bake to bake for dad, but sadly that didn't happen.
Such a FUN class! Chef Nishi was a wonderful instructor guiding us through the background of curries, teaching us about these complex spices, their origin and how they all fit together. She was very easy to learn from and super knowledgeable! The food was delicious and I will absolutely re-create these fabulous meals with my new skill set. I love Blvd Kitchen and will absolutely be back for more!
I had a great time and it was the best birthday gift i got in a long time.Highly recommended and will be there for another class soon.Jacob
JJ and the rest of the staff were friendly and made the topic very interesting. JJ created an environment that was very conducive to learning. I would definitely take another course from her. BLVD kitchen was clean and well organized
I love this class! Chef Micheal was a great instructor and she made the class a lot of fun! It was very interactive and the food was delicious! I love taking classes at BLVD Kitchen and will definitely be back for more!
Hands on! Excellent Chef!
Was a fun time, and the desserts we made were mostly good. (The gummy candy was surprisingly inedible -- it was like eating an eraser. But the chocolate, which is what we really came for, was delish!) The unexpected aspect is that it's mostly just *participating* working on the desserts -- we weren't actually *taught* anything much. (For instance, they had already pre-made the cookie dough we used -- we simply cut it. And the ganache was made from melted pre-existing chocolate bars.) This seems to be done so that they can get lots of families with kids to enroll in the class since the kids can do everything involved too. For our low skill level, we were just happy to hang and participate. But if you're looking to walk away with some new culinary knowledge, this probably isn't the right class for you.
It was just a wonderful class. Great fun and terrific instruction. Dr. J.J. is absolutely charming and so knowledgeable. I have already signed up for another class with her! My husband went wild over my challah and rye bread!
I had SO much fun! Chef JJ is spirited and energetic and I loved everything about the class! We learned some great techniques in a fun and relaxing environment and we got to enjoy some yummy food. I highly recommend Blvd Kitchen.
