Friendly employees are knowledgeable, encouraging and committed to including every knitter and crocheter into our Compatto (Italian for Close Knit) community. Regardless of your individual skill level or budget, Compatto has yarns, patterns, needles, and notions to meet your needs. And if we don't, Special Orders are absolutely no problem.

Compatto's basic knitting and crochet classes are taught each week along with many other options designed to get your creative juices flowing! Please take time to browse our list of classes and leave us your email so that we may keep you updated on our many special events, charity knitting and celebrity workshops.

Although located in the beautiful City of Santa Monica, we are easily accessible from just about any part of the greater Los Angeles area. I learned much more than I expected to. The instructor, Kara, was positive and supportive, and able to work with each student's learning agenda. The atmosphere in the shop was great. All in all it was a wonderful introduction to weaving and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning to weave.

Really enjoyed the class Cara was attentive to all of our needs, giving personal attention to each of us. She was patient , encouraging and knowledgeable and allowed time and encouragement for each of us to develop our own creative project. Made me want to take and additional class. However I would like the option of being able to bring in our own yarn.
