David Wright

I've been a working television writer and producer for over 20 years, writing animation and live-action half-hour comedy. My credits include Family Guy, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Beavis and Butt-Head. I've also sold original pilots to Fox and Paramount+.

This course is great for writers at any level who want to build or polish their portfolio. Students will write a spec for a current half-hour comedy, animated or live-action.

We'll focus on:

• Capturing a series' characters, voices, and tone
• Story structure
• Punching up jokes and dialogue

By the end of the course, each student will have a completed spec script and personalized feedback I'd give a writer on my own staff.
