What you'll learn in this graphic design class:

Do you want to become a professional Graphic Designer?

Then this course is for you! Students will learn how to incorporate workflow standard projects, such as:

  • Graphic manipulation
  • Color management
  • Motion effects
  • Technical drawings for print, brochures, business cards, book covers, magazine layouts
  • Web graphics

This course will help you build experience by applying essential skills to industry standards. This bootcamp brings experts from the field into the classroom.

This class is delivered virtually via Zoom


Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

School Notes: Please don't forget to bring a valid ID. Students registering on or after the first day of class shall be assessed a non-refundable late registration fee of $10.00.

Refund Policy

Tuition refunds are calculated in accordance with the Tuition Refund Policy for those students who officially drop a class or classes during the first three weeks of the semester. Fees are not refundable.

  • Drops prior to the first day of the semester: 95% Tuition Refund
  • Drops during the first calendar week of the semester: 75% Tuition Refund
  • Drops during the second calendar week of the semester: 50% Tuition Refund
  • Drops during the third calendar week of the semester: 25% Tuition Refund
  • No refund after the third calendar week of the semester.

Tuition will be refunded 100 percent for those courses which, at any time, are cancelled by the College. Failure to attend class, merely giving notice to the instructor, or stopping payment on a check is not considered an official drop or withdrawal.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    After 15 weeks of this course, I feel I have not learned pertinent information about Graphic Design. It seemed more like an introduction rather than a crash course to Adobe Suite. Given the timeframe, I feel we could have tackled more areas of the platforms but instead we went over the same information in different ways. There was a lot of inserting pictures and adding type on top and then calling it a business card or a magazine cover. In my opinion this wasn’t worth the money and as a young professional in the Graphic Design field, I’m still using YouTube to help me navigate. Save your money.

    Linda, my instructor, was great! Very patient, flexible, and extremely competent in the material. Linda is very knowledgeable in the Adobe space and always went above and beyond to explain tougher concepts. She also was always readily available outside of class to answer questions as I was working towards finishing my portfolio or working on "homework" assignments.

For the remote classes, students are required to have all of the Adobe software programs, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign however if you cannot obtain these Adobe software programs, the faculty at BMCC will assists you in obtaining them.

Hi there! This course specializes in those who are interested in learning graphic design as a second career for either Graphic Designer, Art Director, or Photographer. The instructor does not specialize in teaching Adobe Illustrator for a fashion designer.

The school's policy is: The lack of attendance alone DOES NOT entitle the student to a refund of tuition or the cancellation of tuition still due. 100% refund will be made to any registrant who submits a request in writing two (2) business days before the first session of the class; 50% refund before the second session of the class.
