After Effects Training: Essential Skills 2

Take your After Effects skills to the next level in this two day training. You will start off with a refresher of the basics and move on to more advanced concepts.

This training will cover several hot topics including creating motion and mask tracking in After Effects and Mocha AE. Other essential skills include properly keying footage, manipulating masks, basic expressions and working with time effects. Get introduced to particle effects, energy effects and sophisticated compositing using multiple layers. Optional lessons include an introduction to Cinema 4D Lite.

Some of the class projects will include topics that cover Motion Graphics, Kinetic Typography, and Planar Tracking for mobile phone image replacement.

Your instructor will cover the pitfalls, and the best practices will be followed so that you are creating professional-grade motion graphics and video effects that will be properly viewed by your audiences in this After Effects class.

Course Outline

• Review basic editing workflows and tools
• Review preferences and settings for optimizing performance
• Learn more about different tracking methods
• Work with stabilization, point trackers and corner pinning
• Track effects to video
• Utilize the Mask Tracker for different applications
• Track surfaces and create Shape data with Mocha AE
• Incorporate tracking data and keying shots
• Utilize the 3D tracker to apply compositing images/video
• Apply time remapping and time effects
• Colorize footage using Lumetri color
• Utilize gallery looks with third-party included effects
• Learn about 32-bit effect workflow
• Use basic expressions to automate animation
• Explore particle and energy effects
• Review rendering options for a variety of workflows
• Optional Lesson: Get introduced to 3D in After Effects and in Cinema 4D Lite

After Effects Training: Essential Skills I, or equivalent knowledge
