Description
How would you like to make a scarf in one day? With weaving, you can! From warping the loom to tying off the fringe, you’ll learn everything you need to know to make your first woven scarf from start to finish. With the easy-to-use rigid heddle loom, you’ll learn to weave a basic scarf in one or two colors.
With this foundation, you can later move on to more advanced color patterning and textured stitches. This project uses approximately 100 yards each for warp and weft yarns — the same or two different colors.

We are on Wilshire Blvd., between 21st & 22nd, on the south side of the street. There is a small lot in back, off of 21st street, or metered street parking.

- Children, with accompanying adult, are welcome to join
- Use your own rigid heddle loom or call and register early to secure the use of one of ours.
- Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!).
- Yarn for our classes must come from our shop, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run.

If you need to cancel a class, you may do so with one week's notice before the start of the class. There is no refund if you cancel, but you may use your credit for a future class or merchandise in the store.

I learned much more than I expected to. The instructor, Kara, was positive and supportive, and able to work with each student's learning agenda. The atmosphere in the shop was great. All in all it was a wonderful introduction to weaving and I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning to weave.

Really enjoyed the class Cara was attentive to all of our needs, giving personal attention to each of us. She was patient , encouraging and knowledgeable and allowed time and encouragement for each of us to develop our own creative project. Made me want to take and additional class. However I would like the option of being able to bring in our own yarn.
