Question from Janette F.
Hello, Are there other stores where I can purchase the drafting paper? Also, how wide is it supposed to be?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Janette! As per instructor, Drafting paper - any size 45" or 60". Other location to buy it: might find it online. Or bring postal brown paper from "Ride Aid". Not the best paper to work with. Hope this helps!

Question from Rose D.
Is it a requirement to take the Sewing Made Easy classes prior to taking this class, or could you have taken a sewing class elsewhere and that is sufficient?
Answer from Angelica B. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Rose, taking the Sewing Made Easy is not required but it's recommended to have a working knowledge of sewing. You just need to bring the materials from the "Sewing Made Easy" class.

Rosie was great! The class really got me inspired to design and sew again. We packed in a lot in 4 weeks.

Me ubiese gustado que la clase la dieran en una cuarto cerrado . Era imposible escuchar la clase con todo el ruido de las otras clases.

The wrong class was advertised online, so all of the students who showed up were there for "Beginning Fashion Pattern Making" and the teacher was prepared for a level 2 class, which it was supposed to be. So, the first of 4 classes started 35 minutes late and we had no handouts. Thank heavens there were only 5 students in the class because everyone kept getting confused and the instructor needed to keep shifting topics and it was hard to keep track of the detailed information to take accurate notes. On the whole, Rosy (the instructor) thoroughly knows the material and was very pleasant, as well as helpful. I was able to get the information I needed from the class. The classes need to be kept small so everyone can get the attention they require. Also, there should be a prerequisite to signing up for any pattern making class ... the ability to sew and working knowledge of how garments are put together. The instructor struggled to get some of the students up to speed so that she could cover the class material in a way they would understand. Also, please tell enrollees to bring calculators!

The first instructor was not that great but due To some urgent reasons another instructor came and he was very good teacher and I really enjoyed taking his lesson. I wish there is another class for different pattern making because he really explained to us in detail what was supposed to be done in real fashion business. Thank you.
