Description
What you'll learn in this beginner crochet class:
Go beyond the edge and Learn to Crochet! This class will introduce the student to the foundation chain, basic stitches (slip stitch, single, half double, double, and triple crochet), increasing, decreasing, and how to edge and join with crochet. You will be introduced to all these skills while making an envelope purse, perfect for carrying crochet hooks and accessories. Class size is limited to allow for lots of individual attention. Start from scratch or refresh your skills, and gain the confidence to move on to bigger projects!
Required materials to be purchased at or before first class:
Advance preparation may be required, depending on the class topic. Details will be provided at least one week in advance or upon sign-up. Each weekly class session includes two hours of hands-on instruction, or more if needed and our time allows (it almost always does!). Materials must come from our shop, and we are always happy to help you choose the best yarn for your class or project. Classes must have at least three participants in order to run.
Required materials to be purchased at or before first class:
- 300 yards of sport or worsted weight yarn
- size G (sport) or H (worsted) crochet hook
- button and darning needle.
