The Digital Photography Live In-the-Field workshop provides an immersive experience in which you'll spend time capturing images while working directly with our DPA instructors. They will demonstrate and supervise practical composition strategies that elevate everyday snapshots into compelling, visually striking photographs.

Refund Policy

Notify us prior to the Wednesday before the weekend of your workshop to receive a refund less 5% cancellation fee.
Later cancellations will not be refunded and reschedule will require a $30 rescheduling fee.

Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule. If you should need to cancel and require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

It was a very good course, but parking in the Echo Park area on the weekends is a nightmare. I suggest perhaps a different location, a weeknight or an early morning time.

Really enjoyed the experience. Learning the controls and navigating the camera was what I wanted to accomplish by taking the course. Adding the next session which allowed me to experiment and apply techniques learned from the previous session was most beneficial to better understand the different aspects of the camera.

The class was worth my time. The setting (Griffith Park Observatory) was perfect for instruction. The instructor was knowledgeable and helped me to understand how to make the most of the limited options available on my digital camera. I would recommend the course.

the class was okay, I thought it was going to be a lot more to it. It seems like it ended early, I feel that the instructor didn't know a lot about our cameras. The questions that we had wasn't answered the way I thought they would be. Also being at the observatory wasn't a good place to practice our cameras, some of the functions we couldn't really practice because it wasn't a lot of activity there so I think the choice of venue was right.
