In this course students will learn how to wire and connect light fixtures from start to finish. Lighting design not only makes our surroundings visible but sets a higher design goal; to transform our experience and perception of a space. Light can play an important role in defining our mood and efficiency; not only illuminating a space but creating a healthy atmosphere and ambience.
Please note! This course does not include clay nor does it cover hand building rather it is with a focus on the variety of lamp wiring techniques ranging from how to connect led lights, dimmers, and lamp fixtures. How to connect sconces, standing lamps, and pieces with multiple connections will be covered as well.
Week 1: Lamp Wiring Electrical Safety, materials, and types of simple attachments.
Week 2: How to connect dimmers and LED lights
Week 3: Connecting cords, multiple light fixtures
Bulbs and cords are included with this course.
Please notify us 40 hours in advance so we can coordinate with our teacher to account for material prep time or if there is a waitlist.
