Angela Kimberk

Teaches at Maud Morgan Arts

Angela Kimberk received a BFA from the Mass College of Art through independent work on Peruvian archaeological textiles at Harvard.

While working with children developing science exhibits for the Children’s Museum, she became fascinated by how people make sense of the world, and how their understanding is expressed in what they make. As an artist in residence in the public school community, her focus was on broadening children’s ability to learn by including the arts and engaging their creative process.

In her studio work as a fiber artist, she indulges her passion for structure, form and color and often makes things reflective of human nature and the natural world. She also covers architectural elements, like walls and columns with shaped stone and is enthusiastically learning about printing on cloth with dye plants.

Angela lives in Cambridge where she grew up, and next to a tidal, fresh water river in Maine.
