My sister & I had such a terrible experience with the pasta-making class at Taste Buds Kitchen, I decided to take a loss on this class and skip it. Losing $ on this class was a much better experience than returning to this place. -

Class was enjoyable.However, the Chef cooked all of the chicken skewers that we prepared. She overcooked them to a point of inedible and dry. She should have let us do it. I threw it all out. -

It wasn’t great. We were set up at a table with a random pair and forced to shape and touch food with them. We brought a bottle of champagne with us and the woman asked for the bottle before I’d even opened it. Had we known we’d be paired up with randoms, I wouldn’t have signed up. The building lobby smelled horrible and the elevator smelled horrific. I literally had to cover my nose & mouth on the ride up to the 10th floor. The lead cook was less than impressive, but the gals helping clean up and distribute trays/supplies were lovely. It was strange and we left about 45 to 50 minutes early when our forced-fun table-mates kept complaining if we wanted to put our dough through first (I was standing in front of the Kitchen-Aid), there were four pieces and four of us, we all had an opportunity to stretch our dough. It was an odd & smelly experience, and I won’t likely book an event at Taste Buds Kitchen again. So glad we’re were able to drink during this event, as this review would have been way harsher had I had to do that totally sober. -

I was surprised to learn that we were sharing both the ingredients and a table with others- especially given the cost, I felt that was a bit odd that we didn't get the ‘full experience’ and one couple made one thing while the other made the other pasta-especially when other tables did not have to share. -

Valentine's Taste of Italy (Couples/BYOB)
The class was really well organized from instructions sent prior, to directions on where to go and what to bring. Once we got there the instructor gave clear information on what we would be preparing and step by step notes and advice on how to best achieve success. She walked around to each table to make sure we were on track and the food ended up being absolutely delicious. We were also able to meet another couple that was at our table and was so much fun getting to know them. We even went to drinks afterwards with them and made new friends! -

I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had with this business. We were delayed by unforeseen traffic and arrived slightly late, but instead of being understanding or accommodating, we were refused participation in the class we paid for. To make matters worse, they kept our payment and only offered a credit, forcing us to spend more money to use it. This feels like a blatant lack of customer care and a poor business practice. They had an opportunity to resolve this professionally by allowing us to reschedule or even join the remaining class time, but instead chose to disregard our situation entirely. I cannot recommend this business due to their unprofessional and dismissive behavior. -

Jade said the class was a lot of fun. It was close to her home. The instructor was so kind and patient. All of the classmates got along and enjoyed making sushi too. The sushi portions were plentiful. It was enough for dinner and lunch. She’s looking forward to attending future sessions. -

The chef and his staff did a great job teaching us how to create a homemade pasta dinner from scratch. The instruction started with a visual instruction, then we were on our own (group-wise) to replicate what the chef did. The additional staff were friendly and helpful floating around to see how we were progressing and answer any questions we may have had. Bring a friend, date or come on your own....everyone is friendly and don't forget to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy your nice dinner with. TIP: bring a shopping bag if you want to take home leftovers. -
