Class Description
Description
Day 1 - Day 2 : Lecture portion of the course will be done online via live webinar. Student must have PC with a webcam and microphone for the video conference.
Day 3 : Hands-on and course exam will be administered in person at our facility.
Purpose:
The course will teach the legal and technical issues and obligations facing inspectors when inspecting for lead hazards, to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines.
Course Content:
- Federal, state and local regulations
- Health concerns of lead
- Risk assessment methods
- Sampling and testing methods
- Lead abatement implementation
- Worker protection and safety
- Certification of inspectors
- Use of XRF paint analyzers
After registration, students will receive information on signing onto the webinar platform via ZOOM. Please note access to PC with webcam and audio will be necessary to attend the live webinar.
Students will be required to show their state ID (example: Drivers license) at the start of the Webinar. During the Live webinar, students will be able to interact with the instructor. Training will be actively proctored at all times.
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
- To receive a full refund less 5% cancellation fee, email us at least 6 business days prior to the course start date.
- If course cancellation request is received in less than 6 business days a service charge of $50 will be deducted.
- However, substitutions and transfers to a subsequent course are permitted at any time.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any course for any reason, including insufficient enrollment.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
