The 4-Hour Supported Scaffold Course that conducted online can be used only for SST purposes. In order to get the 4-Hour Supported Scaffold Card that can be used on the job sites, you need to complete in-person training.
The SST card will not be processed without all information listed below. Make sure you complete all areas. Safety Dynamics representatives will not be responsible for delays and processing.

NYC Requirement: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction Supervisors, Competent persons, Construction Superintendents, Site Safety Coordinators, Site Safety Managers, and Concrete Safety Managers are required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’).
4 Hr Supported Scaffold User Description
This course is required for all workers using supported scaffolds on construction sites in NYC, as per Local Law 52. It explains the basic elements of supported scaffold safety and introduces students to the nature of supported scaffold hazards. Topics include scaffold inspections, recognizing different hazards (e.g. falling, electrical, etc.), & protective equipment. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a picture ID card, valid for 4 years.
8 Hr Site Safety Manager Refresher (Chapter 33) Description
The 8 hour Site Safety Manager Refresher course is a refresher to the 40 Hour Site Safety Manager Course and the 8 Hour Site Safety Coordinator Course, which are a comprehensive review of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York that pertain to public protection. This course provides students with safe job practices in New York City. They will be introduced to the hazards of working in the New York City construction environment and the specific methods and work practices that are necessary on an urban construction site.
2 Hr Pre- Task Meeting Description
The goal of this course is to teach participants how to conduct proper pre-task safety meetings, how they can positively impact the workplace with this knowledge, and the factors that can help a competent person to inform employees about an action plan for the control of risks, hazards, and exposures.

2 Hr Site Safety Plan Description
The goal of this course is to provide participants with knowledge of the Site Safety Plan, and the factors that can help a competent person to understand the necessity of an action plan as far as organizing safety zones for pedestrians, employees, and equipment.

2 Hr Tool Box Talk Description
The goal of this course is to provide participants with knowledge of “Tool Box” Talks, and the factors that can help a competent person to provide information in regards to safety topics that can help employees to prevent hazardous situations at job sites, make better use of safety equipment, etc.

2 Hr General Electives Description
The goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of First Aid and CPR and what must be done in order to protect oneself from sun exposure.

2 Hr Specialized Electives Description
The goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of flagger responsibilities and the hazards of entering and working within a confined space.

*Successful Completion:
In order to successfully fulfill the requirements for completion of the SST 32 Hr course, students must:
- Complete 6 Hr Management course, 4 Hr Electives course, 4 Hr Supported Scaffold User course, and 8 Hr Site Safety Manager Refresher (Chapter 33) course
- Be able to clearly communicate with the instructor and complete all paperwork in the language the course is delivered in. No personal interpreters permitted.
- Complete all required paperwork: registration, evaluation, attendance, etc.
- Attend all required hours of the course. Any make up sesisons must be completed within six months from the start date.
- Participate during class activities and reviews
- Complete tests with a passing grade of 70%
No exceptions will be made. No partial credit awarded for any course.
Please be advised that cards/certificates will not be released until balance has been paid in full. Payments can be made with cash, check, money order, or debit/credit card.

30 Hr OSHA card - completed with an approved OSHA instructor or approved online training provider.
Please note if we will not be able to verify your card you will not qualify for an SST card. Completion of the 22 Hr course does not guarantee the issuance of an SST card.
Rules
Certificate Release Rules:
Please note, certificates and cards can be picked up in person or mailed to you at your expense. You will be notified once they are available. All certificates and cards are sent using USPS Priority Mail with tracking codes. A fee of $10 applies and must first be processed in order to mail out your certificate/card. For an additional $2.50 fee (for a total of $12.50) you may add the Signature Required mailing option to your item. We are now offering this extra security feature as a precaution due to recent discrepancies. If the mailed item is lost and/or a replacement is needed, you will be held responsible for the replacement fees. If the student would like to have their certificate released to someone else, other than the persons provided on the registration form, they must provide us with the name at this time. ID’s and signatures are required upon release of certificates. Certificates cannot be released until payment has been received in full.
Certificate Replacement Policy:
In order to request a replacement certificate or card, please provide the following information:
- Student Name
- Course Name
- Course Date
- Instructor Name
A $50 replacement fee applies to all certificates and cards.

Please note: in order to cancel the booking you must contact school 7+ business days in advance to be able to receive a full refund. Every student who contacted us after this period will not be eligible for a refund and will have 6 months to use a paid deposit.
