This interactive scene study and audition technique class is designed for actors ages 16 and older who want to develop their craft with professional-level instruction. You will participate in live demonstrations, receive detailed feedback on your performances, download recordings of your work for personal educational study, and have the opportunity to share materials with your instructor, including headshots, resumes, acting reels, and any other materials you want instructor consideration of. The class includes comprehensive Q and A sessions where you can ask questions and gain insights specific to your development as an actor.
About Your Instructor:
Skyler Zurn has extensive experience working with major casting offices and studios across the entertainment industry. Skyler brings a wealth of knowledge from working on various projects in film and television at all levels, from studio productions and network shows to independent projects, across both comedy and drama genres. Skyler values open, constructive communication and maintains a collaborative team-player approach in class. With years of professional casting experience, Skyler is known for providing precise, actionable notes and excels at helping actors maximize their strengths during audition preparation. Skyler prioritizes current and competitive material, assessing your work with an understanding of modern entertainment platforms and industry standards.
Preparation for Class:
- Prepare a two-page scene from film or television material to work with during the session
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
