What you'll learn in this basic asl class:
American Sign Language (ASL) is the third most widely used language in the United States. It is a visual-gestural-kinesthetic method of communication used by members of the deaf community. In the beginner class, students will learn the basic vocabulary and grammar of ASL and will begin to develop the necessary communication skills to interact with people who are deaf.
Please read: Students will receive an email with Zoom invite information prior to first session.
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
- If the student must cancel his/her registration, a refund less 5% cancellation fee will be issued if CourseHorse is notified of cancellation at least 4 business days prior to the start of class.
- Any cancellations less than 4 business days prior to class start will forfeit a refund.
All courses and workshops are subject to cancellation by the school if the minimum enrollment is not attained. In the event of cancellation by the school, students will be notified and refunds will be issued in full in the same form of payment made by the student at registration.
