Looking for fun things to do at home? Learning a new craft sounds like an engaging way to spend time, and in this virtual class, you will make a one-of-a-kind indigo-dyed cloth.
Shibori is the Japanese art of binding and folding fabric in different patterns before dyeing. Using natural indigo powder, you will learn how to use different binding techniques to create unique patterns on a cotton tea towel.
Your teacher is Cara of Coastal Design Workshops, who will walk you through, step-by-step, the calming and enjoyable experience of naturally dyeing your fabrics. She will share all of her tips and tricks to make a true blue creation of your very own.
Everything you need comes in DIY kits, so all you have to do is join the class over Zoom and get ready to learn a really cool craft. At the end of your time, you'll have a dyed cloth to display and new skills to make more projects.
