Part 1: Mastering Your Digital Camera

Gain command of your camera's core features and functions, including exposure modes, shutter speed management, aperture control, and ISO settings. You will also learn the conceptual framework for intentional image-making, developing the ability to visualize and capture photographs that effectively communicate your artistic vision.
Part 2: Hands-On Practice and Guided Learning
In-person session in Princeton, NJ
Experience direct, personalized instruction in a real-world environment. Work alongside your instructor to apply the technical knowledge from Part 1, ask questions in real-time, and receive immediate feedback as you shoot. This invaluable hands-on experience accelerates your learning. If you are unable to attend the in-person session, you will receive structured photography assignments to complete independently.
Part 3: Advanced Analysis and Photographic Refinement
Interactive online instruction
Review and analyze the photographs you created during Part 2 or through your assignments. This session deepens your understanding of composition, subject selection, scene dynamics, and lighting principles; all critical factors that elevate your images from good to exceptional.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
