Stand Up Level 3: Authenticity

Our Stand Up Level 3: Advanced Studies courses are intended for students with a strong grasp of basic comedy technique and ample performing experience who are looking to focus their attention on one of four major areas of comedic study, with the intention of improving or expanding their existing comedy material and career. In our Stand Up Level 3: Authenticity class, students focus on how to become more 'real' in their performances, delving deeper into personal truths and using this information to uncover the unique elements that contribute to creating a comedian's 'voice'.

Successful completion of this course will culminate in a stage performance in front of a live audience on one of our Flappers club stages; this particular Level 3 class will ALSO include a video review of your performance after the showcase in the final week, to provide analysis for further study.

PREREQUISITES: Completion of Stand Up Level 2: Intermediate class with teacher recommendation for advancement is required; comedians wishing to apply for special consideration to move up early may do so by emailing the Dean of Classes at [email protected].
