Youth Art Class: College-Prep (Ages 12-18)

This intensive program is designed for students who are committed to pursuing careers as creative professionals and/or who demonstrate exceptional dedication to developing their artistic abilities and expanding their technical expertise.

The curriculum operates with college-level standards, featuring rigorous expectations, a collaborative studio atmosphere, and meaningful opportunities for students to provide constructive feedback on each other's work. Through this comprehensive program, students will develop an extensive skillset combining creative confidence, intellectual humility, professional drawing technique, painting mastery, and essential teamwork abilities. This course structure emphasizes the integration of artistic vision with practical execution, ensuring students develop both conceptual thinking and technical proficiency. Students will complete this term at Valley Art, having gained substantial practical experience, a strong foundation for continued artistic development, and a portfolio reflecting their artistic journey.

While homework assignments are optional, they are highly recommended for achieving the best possible results and maximizing your learning potential within the course structure.
