This past week I attended a public speaking training held by Laura Lewis-Barr. What a wonderful course it was getting you out of your comfort zone and being confident with the presenter you truly are!

I had a great time last week, I will definitely go and leave a positive review and recommend this course to others. I will have to work up the courage to watch the videos (heh – I think that is harder than actually giving the presentation sometimes!) but I will do it, and I am going to try thinking about life as a series of stories and practice keeping my ‘inner voice’ in storytelling mode, maybe it will help identify stories to tell! Although I still have a lot of weaknesses in public speaking, now I know where to start and what needs to be improved. Thanks for teaching me the wonderful tips. When you're intimidated by something like public speaking, it's so easy to feel alone--which just compounds the anxiety. But meeting you guys and being reminded that many of us are in the same boat--and more importantly--that it's something we are working to overcome was a big part of what I took away from this experience.
