Animal Exploration
Children will explore different types of materials while creating animals, real and imagined. Projects include bobbleheads, wall tile, mini pet shop, and more. Creating with Clay
Children will explore the wonderful properties of ceramic clay while developing skills to create three dimensionally. Basic clay hand-building techniques will be taught, including coiling, slab, and pinch-pot. Imagination is encouraged! Students will glaze their sculptures and functional pieces with food-safe glazes. Fired projects will be ready for pick up 2 weeks after last class.
A Week of Printmaking
Students will learn about printmaking artists such as Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. Each day we will create prints using a new technique including monoprints, relief prints, and block printing inspired by these unique and creative artists. Materials explored will include; styrofoam, cardboard, tinfoil, and found objects. In-Person Kids Art: Creatures Around the World
