Elizabeth Tokoly's unique artistic approach for designing art jewelry is inspired by her investigating math and nature, providing her with limitless possibilities. Her work echoes the gracefulness of organic characteristics of nature. Her work has a minimal aesthetic. It exhibits simple lines, primary forms, shapes or structures. It uses systems, arrangement and distribution of components consisting of more that one part, element or bit. It is an evolution of a form into an object or piece of wearable art.
She constructs her work with traditional techniques and contemporary ideas. It is hand crafted in precious metals sterling silver, 18k gold and combinations of 18k gold with patinated sterling silver. She uses colored gemstones and diamonds in various shapes.

Hammered Earring (Virtual Private)

The instructor was very patient, thorough and knowledgeable. I think with practice I will be able to create hammered jewelry!
I gained knowledge watching the Argentium tutorial on shaping organic figures into creative, wearable art. I learned how to curve & solder discs by reshaping the edges into multi clusters & attaching posts for conceptual or for more of a sophisticated look. I knowledge I gained will enhance my ability to create, produce & share my skills with others.
Thank you for my new skills.
Last year, my husband and I took a hands-on ring-making class to create our own wedding rings. It felt more meaningful than simply buying them, and the experience was both fun and informative. We learned different metalworking techniques, shaped and polished the bands ourselves, and left with rings that truly felt personal. It was a special way to add our own touch to something so significant.
I have been to the other studios in the past but this by far has been the best experience. The studio owner, Elizabeth Ann, was a consummate professional; and arranged this class to accommodate my schedule. She was present during the class and would expand on points with her expertise. Macy, our instructor was wonderfully attentive- patient, kind, knowledgeable, and has a real strength working with silver novices. I especially appreciate her attention to detail, and ensuring our final product was complete to our liking. The studio was filled with light, the atmosphere was welcoming and overall my Mother's Day gift was enjoyed by both myself & my mother. Our rings came out beautifully- the whole process, start to finish, exceeded my expectations. Will be returning for more- thank you for all.
We had so much fun at this class. Totally hands-on. You do everything in the making of a ring. EVERYTHING! In 2 1/2 hours, my husband and I created two silver rings - each original and one of a kind. Perfect? No, but the imperfections are part of what makes them special. We have bragging rights now in having crafted rings as a fun date. The snack and prosecco were a wonderful surprise treat as well. Macy and Elizabeth were wonderful instructors.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is to offer a suggestion that while doing the practice stamping, you have the copper sheet to try out the stamps, but maybe also have a practice sheet the size of the actual ring. This would have allowed us to practice the actual design before moving onto the silver.
Class was great and it ended up just being the two of us who came together. It was a little bit fast paced for an indecisive person who didn’t know what exactly they wanted their ring to look like but for most people it would probably be totally fine especially if you gave a little bit of thought ahead of time. You can put stamps/letters/numbers inside your ring if you want to, which gave us another thing to decide on, so it’s something you might want to think about in advance. And our rings came out pretty well! Elizabeth the instructor/owner was very informative and nice!
