This course is the first build lab in the program, and it produces a working application rather than an exercise. You design and deploy a personal productivity command center that accepts uploaded documents, organizes them, and uses AI to summarize their contents and pull out key points and action items. The results surface in a dashboard that is genuinely scannable, which is a design problem as much as a technical one.
Along the way you handle the practical concerns that any real application faces: file ingestion and storage, structuring extracted content so it can be queried later, keeping AI output consistent enough to trust, and deploying to a public URL with authentication in place. You finish with a deployed, documented application you can demonstrate to an employer, and a template you can adapt to your own workflow.
What You Will Learn
- Scope a productivity problem into a buildable application
- Ingest, store, and organize uploaded documents
- Use AI to summarize documents and extract key points and action items
- Structure extracted content so it stays queryable
- Design a clean, scannable dashboard interface
- Add authentication and protect stored content
- Deploy the application to a live public URL
- Document the build and demonstrate it to a non-technical audience
