Medical Billing 3: Managed Care, Government Plans & Coding
Introduction to Private and Government plans. The course also visits the muscle, skeletal, cardiovascular and lymphatic systems for anatomy & physiology, word parts, and coding.
Successfully complete all 6 courses to earn a certificate of completion in Medical Billing and Coding from El Camino College. The six part course also prepares you to take the National HealthCareer Association (NHA) CBCS (Certified Billing Coding Specialist) exam and includes the NHA exam preparation materials, the CBCS exam itself, and the proctoring service fee. The Medical Terminology and Medical Insurance Handbook textbooks are included with the course and will be provide in a PDF format.
Pre-requisite: Must complete module 1 – 2 prior to taking module 3.

NOTE: Class meets remotely following a hybrid module, including a mix of live Zoom and a-synchronous time. Instructor also provides weekly office hours for additional support.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
