You have a great idea for a documentary, and maybe even some great footage. But how does it fit together? Are you telling a clear or most impactful story? Explore different ways of shaping documentary films, including three-act structure, theme, plot, and character arcs, using specific films as case studies. You will then have up to 15 minutes each to discuss your own documentary stories in development or early production and solicit feedback from your fellow workshop peers and instructor. There will be an independent exercise assigned between sessions of this workshop.

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

There are absolutely no make-ups allowed for any missed session(s) of a workshop. It is not possible for students to make up a missed session of their Workshop by attending an equivalent session on another day. There are no refunds for missed sessions.
