Having a strong script is only the starting point. Knowing how to pitch and present it effectively is what gets it noticed. In this workshop, students learn how to build a clear, professional pitch and package that attracts producers, investors, and industry decision makers. The session walks participants through the essentials of presenting their story, including how to write a powerful logline, craft a concise synopsis, and communicate their ideas with confidence and energy.
The workshop also introduces the fundamentals of packaging a project. Students explore how to identify their target audience, outline the key creative elements of their film or series, and prepare pitch materials such as one sheets, lookbooks, and pitch decks that highlight the strengths of their concept. Using real examples and guided practice, each participant has the opportunity to deliver their pitch live, receive constructive feedback, and refine their presentation.
By the conclusion of the class, students will understand how to present their script as a complete, market ready project and will leave with practical tools and strategies they can use in meetings, festivals, or online pitches.
Ideal for writers, directors, and producers who want to move their projects from the page to a professional pitch.
