Description

Olá! Welcome to Total Beginner Brazilian Portuguese. This introductory Portuguese program is specifically designed for students with minimal or no prior experience with the language. Classes meet online once per week for 90 minutes in small cohorts of three to seven students, creating an intimate learning environment that emphasizes individual attention and peer support.

Over the course of six weeks, you will build foundational vocabulary and learn conversational phrases for everyday situations. You will develop your Portuguese pronunciation through guided practice and structured exercises. The curriculum focuses on forming sentences using present tense verb conjugations, giving you the grammatical foundation to communicate basic needs and ideas.

Upon course completion, you will have the opportunity to advance to intermediate levels and continue your Portuguese learning journey with additional specialized courses.

Course Materials:

You will receive an electronic copy of the textbook before your first class, providing all necessary reference materials and exercises for the duration of the program.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

In order to receive a full refund less 5% cancellation fee, you must do so at least 8 business days before the class start date.
Any subsequent withdrawal from a contracted course, for whatever reason, will result in forfeiture of the total cost of enrollment.

If you are in a class and cannot continue, please notify us of your situation as soon as possible so we can work with you to find a solution. We cannot credit you for classes you missed before notifying us or for a class scheduled to occur on the day you contact us.

If you miss a class during a 12-week enrollment, you automatically get a 13th consecutive bonus class added to your enrollment!

If you are unable to attend the 13th consecutive class, you forfeit your make-up lesson. Only the 12-week enrollment comes with a bonus make-up class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
