Our Teen Voice Over Workshop is designed to introduce students to the voice over market, equipment needed, and applying The Barrow Group tools to this medium.
The class begins with a primer of the current industry and ways to work as an actor in commercials, promos, narrations, animations, and video games. Next students explore exercises designed to attenuate the ear to various vocal delivery styles ranging from realistic conversation to promotional announcing to heightened character voices.
Students will then explore The Barrow Group acting tools and script analysis using commercial, promo, trailer, animation copy. The class culminates in auditioning techniques for the medium.
Note: There are no prerequisites for this class. However, we do recommend students considering this class have previous training/experience.
If you are a beginner actor, we recommend starting with our Teen Explorations in Acting Class.
