This watercolor painting class is perfect for beginners, or those who have dabbled in watercolors, and are eager to learn more. In this inspiring, relaxing and fun watercolor painting class, you will:
- Receive one-on-one, tailor-made, expert watercolor painting instruction by a professional artist and teacher from our NYC art studio.
- Learn watercolor painting techniques including gradated washes, wet on wet painting, wet on dry watercolor painting, dry brush, variegated washes, splattering, watercolor dripping , glazing, color mixing, and more!
- Feel inspired by and step-by-step watercolor lessons, demonstrations and instruction.
- Learn how to combine watercolor painting techniques with your own authentic self-expression and personal artistic voice.
- Create a variety of finished paintings to feel proud of.
- Receive the scientifically proven health benefits of watercolor painting classes including relaxation, stress relief, increased memory, and increased satisfaction.
This class is perfect for those who have taken any watercolor class with us, we never repeat a project twice and always teach new art techniques for returning students.
Art Class Materials:
Materials are not included.
You will need:
- Watercolor Paper (any size you prefer and preferably 140 lbs, but 90 lbs will be fine),
- Watercolor Paint Set (Watercolor Pan sets are great for beginners),
- Paint Palette,
- Watercolor Brushes (variety of rounds and flats),
- cup/jar for water,
- Painter's Blue Tape,
- Pencil, Eraser,
- Sakura Pigma Micron Black Pen
- Optional: Masking Fluid
Special Note: We recommend Blick Art Materials, and you may use any brand you like.
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy
Class tuition is neither non-refundable nor transferable. No refunds will be issued after registration and payment. In case of a Medically Certified illness, a credit will be issued after receipt of your physician’s documentation. The value of the credit will be for the balance of the remaining class sessions with an additional deduction of a $95 registration fee. Credit may be used up to 12 months.
If after your first class you are dissatisfied with the quality of your course, a written note must be submitted within 1 business day after your first class. After receiving your note, refund of class tuition will be reviewed by our staff. If a refund is granted, processing of refunds requires 8-10 weeks. A 5% nonrefundable processing fee will be applied.
Course Cancellations
Although course cancellation is quite rare, The school reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be canceled up to 1 business day before the first scheduled class. In the event of cancellation, a refund or credit is granted. On occasion, a course start-date will be pushed back if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, you will receive a credit for the price of the class that did not take place.
Please note that there will be NO exceptions to this under any circumstances.
Make-up Policy
Unfortunately, The school does not offer any makeups for classes missed. However, if the student wants to get the most from the course and the absence, they can tell the instructor when they will be absent and the instructor can provide some guidance on exercises to practice while away.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

The class was good and the teacher was good. But some of the work was to uniform and I don’t think that’s a good way to teach beginners to do their artwork. In life flowers are not uniform and should not be painted as such. They are random. Otherwise I learned a lot from that class and enjoyed it. I felt like the teacher was very easy-going with the students and good for a beginner class.
