Learn how to create perfectly finished flannel projects with neat, professional mitered corners—ideal for cozy blankets or charming napkins.


Supply List

Important Note

You must have the Quick Easy Mitered Binding Tool by Sew Biz to take this class.

Supplies Needed

  • Sewing machine (you should know your machine or have completed the BMT class prior to this class)
  • Rotary cutter and self-healing mat
  • Ruler – 3" × 18" or larger (Quilter’s Select recommended)
  • Straight pins
  • Scissors
  • Fabric chalk
  • Seam ripper
  • Thread to coordinate with your fabric
  • Pencil or pen and paper for notes
  • Wonder clips (optional)
  • Small iron and wool mat
    • If you don’t have these, irons will be available in class. However, there may be a wait time depending on class size.
Fabric Requirements – Baby Blanket

  • Center fabric: flannel cut into a 36" × 36" square
  • Backing and border fabric: flannel cut into a 42" × 42" square
    • A 41" × 41" square will also work
Fabric Requirements – Each Napkin

  • Center fabric: cotton cut into a 15" × 15" square
    • Recommended: small-print, non-directional fabric
  • Backing and border fabric: cotton cut into an 18" × 18" square
    • Recommended: solid or near-solid fabric

Refund Policy

  • Customers can cancel up to 6 business days before the class and receive store credit.
  • If a customer cancels within 6 business days of the class, the customer forfeits the cost of the class, unless a replacement fills the spot, in which case store credit will be given.
  • No refunds or store credit will be given after a class has begun.

No cash refunds.

To be fair to our instructors and other customers we cannot provide make-up classes for missed sessions.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
