Spanning an impressive 385 acres and featuring 28 uniquely designed garden areas, nine picturesque islands, six miles of scenic shoreline, and a wide variety of natural habitats, the Chicago Botanic Garden presents photographers with both extraordinary visual inspiration and rewarding creative challenges at every turn.

In this informative and hands-on session, you will explore a range of locations and photographic techniques for capturing stunning images, examine key compositional principles and strategies, and discover effective approaches for photographing the Garden's distinctive character and seasonal beauty. Following the instructional portion, you will have the opportunity to put your newly acquired skills and knowledge into practice by photographing the Garden itself.

Refund Policy

Refund requests must be submitted to [email protected] 2 business days prior to the program’s start date and time. The registration fee will be refunded less a 15% processing charge. A refund is issued in the form of a credit on file (to be used for future programs).

Refund requests submitted less than 48 hours prior to a program start date are non-transferable and are not eligible for a refund.

Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable on and after the program’s start date. We cannot refund fees requested on or after the start date of a program or for sessions missed due to student illness or other personal situations.

Registration fees for courses grouped and priced as a series will be considered one program and subject to all of the above guidelines. A refund request must be received prior to the start date of the series' first class session and will subsequently cancel your registration in every session of the series.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
