Description

This course prepares students for IT jobs as a Computer Technical Support Specialist. You will gain hands-on experience and learn how to disassemble and reassemble computers and learn the functions of each component, install Operating Systems, and troubleshoot common hardware and software related problems. Whether you have knowledge of computers or not you can benefit from taking this course. This course will prepare you for more advanced topics and for the CompTIA A+ Certification Exam (1001 & 1002) validating your skills as an IT professional.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

School Notes: Please don't forget to bring a valid ID. Students registering on or after the first day of class shall be assessed a non-refundable late registration fee of $10.00.

Refund Policy

Tuition refunds are calculated in accordance with the Tuition Refund Policy for those students who officially drop a class or classes during the first three weeks of the semester. Fees are not refundable.

Drops prior to the first day of the semester: 95% Tuition Refund
Drops during the first calendar week of the semester: 75% Tuition Refund
Drops during the second calendar week of the semester: 50% Tuition Refund
Drops during the third calendar week of the semester: 25% Tuition Refund
No refund after the third calendar week of the semester.

Tuition will be refunded 100 percent for those courses which, at any time, are cancelled by the College. Failure to attend class, merely giving notice to the instructor, or stopping payment on a check is not considered an official drop or withdrawal.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
