Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this wine tasting class:

Real men drink pink, and so do real women. Rosé, or Blush, wine consumption has been increasing rapidly in recent years. From simple and fruity to complex, ageworthy, food wines, $5-$500 a bottle and everywhere in between. In this eye opening workshop, we'll learn about the original wines of the elite and how they're coming back strong.

Any red grape can be used to make rosé and there are classic examples from hot to cool climates all over the world. We'll explore the classics and some wild cards, various production methods, regions and styles from various grapes. Discover through a guided tasting how it varies based on climate, soils and traditions in various international regions. Despite the differences you will find common threads.

This class is eye opening for rosé wine lovers and a must for wine pros and those studying for certification exams.  It includes a tasting of 6 wines with your registration fee.

This workshop may be taken as part of our Wine Styles of the World Series or individually a la carté. Your workshop fees can be applied to the cost of the full series if you would like to continue on.
