In this therapeutic yoga practice, find deeper relaxation and healing as we combine reiki and crystal healing with supported passive-poses. Prior to the practice, Syd will use Reiki symbols to infuse the space with this healing energy so that all who enter will immediately feel at peace. Throughout the practice, Syd will be using various reiki techniques in conjunction with carefully-selected crystals to promote deep healing in each individual where they need it most. After a slow-paced, 60 minute yoga practice, Syd will conduct a 30-minute sound bath while students enjoy savasana, aka corpse pose. Enjoy the soothing sounds as the crystals around you continue to work their magic and leave feeling like they’ve just spent an entire day at a spa! This practice is amazing for self-love, emotional/trauma release, anxiety relief, and just plain feeling good.
About the modalities used: Restorative yoga is a gentle, slow-paced practice where we hold passive poses with the use of supports (bolsters, pillows, blankets) for minutes at a time. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique where healing touch is used to channel powerful energy to activate the body's natural healing processes and restore physical and emotional well-being. Crystals produce powerful frequencies that can help stabilize our body's frequencies that have been thrown off. Sound healing is based on the same principle- the instruments produce powerful frequencies that promote healing and regulation throughout the body. This is a trauma-informed practice; therefore no touch will be given without consent and there will always be the option for hands-off healing and adjustments.
