  • Auzzie is a fantastic teacher, she made the steps very clear and made us all feel successful with our pots. Fun!
  • This class and the studio were great. The instructor, Becca, is incredible. She is a skilled ceramicist and instructor. Instruction was well paced and everyone in the class seemed to be having fun, even my husband whom I dragged to take a class with me! This is the second class I’ve taken at Element Art Center (the other was stained glass) and I’d take a class again. Talented instructors in a fun and safe space.
  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the ceramic charcuterie platter class. Teacher was great and value for the tuition cost was terrific. Watching your site for future classes of interest to us.
  • Sarita was such a gem! Loved this class. It was easy to follow, she was incredibly helpful, I always wanted to try throwing on a wheel and it was so much fun. 10/10 recommend!
  • This was such a great class! Becca was super helpful and gave really easy to follow instructions. Definitely recommend!!
  • a lot of fun, gets you off your phone and out of your head for a couple hours, and laura is the nicest and patient and will help as much as she can!
  • As someone who has never done pottery before, I found the class to be extremely beginner friendly and supportive. My instructor was able to provide me with 1-on-1 support as needed. I would totally go back and do this again!
  • The class was super cool, especially if you've never done anything like this before. Our instructor - Chloe was very thorough and super helpful throughout the duration of the class. Looking forward to seeing the finished results! A great way to meet new people. Would highly recommend this class for a super fun, family and friends outting. Will definitley be taking more classes!
  • I love my first class! Em was so sweet and had so much patience for all the students. She made sure to have a long one time with us to make sure we got what we needed! Gave us tips and all! Highly recommend this class! Can’t wait to come back and learn more.
  • Chloe was great. Her directions were simple and clear. It was a small class and she gave each individualized attention. Will look at other classes that are offered.
  • It was a lovely class with a patient instructor. It was only my friend and I in the class which was nice since it allowed the instructor to focus on us. I learned a lot and can’t wait to book another class
  • This class was perfect! The teacher was great about explaining every step as well as helping everyone to get their pieces to look amazing!
  • I took this class Sunday December 14. The instructors were great and so helpful. I didn’t have any wine as I was driving, but there was a plentiful spread of drinks and snacks for anyone who wanted to partake. Making the charcuterie board was so much fun, I can’t wait to see what it looks like. I highly recommend this class or others like it as a group or date activity. The center is also located in Chinatown surrounded by a lot of great restaurants.
  • This class was really fun. Chloe, our instructor, was so kind and extremely supportive. She is an excellent instructor. Everything was kept running on time, everyone had a complete project and time to choose their glaze. She broke down the process and helped us all feel confident using the wheel and sculpting our items. She learned and remembered everyone’s names as well which was so impressive! I would definitely recommend taking other classes with her at the Elementary Art Center.
  • I've taken many classes in verious venues around L.A. and this was by far my favorite. The teacher (Nicole) was great--able to demonstrate the project in a very easy to understand way, ready with solutions to individual goals, has an opinion if you want one, and generally made the class very easy-going and fun. Highly recommend!!
  • Justin the instructor was friendly and attentive while letting each of us work at our own speed. It was a fun, approachable introduction to pottery—it was a great way to end the work week!
  • Amazing class!
  • Creative class at a wonderful studio! Will be checking out their other offerings!
  • Loved it!
  • Michael curated a wonderful experience. He gave us the resources, class breakdown, a demo, and helped all of us every step of the way. Michael was incredibly patient and I never felt rushed in the 2 hours. I really appreciate that he helped me get my piece to look how I envisioned, and also kindly explained what to expect when working with clay. I’m excited to see it finished and look forward to another class!
  • Stacey taught us so much. Great class‼️‼️‼️‼️
  • Pottery Making

It was a fun class, nice group and the teacher was very patient. He didn’t mind showing us several times how to center the clay and how to manipulate with teknique how to make the clay do what we asked. It was challenging but I think we all made some interesting vessels to take home. I will continue to take more classes, I want to get good at it. Great experience.
  • Ceramic Social In-Person (6 Sessions)

The class is fun for all levels. It is great to learn directly from the artist.
  • Pottery Making

    Amazing ❤️
  • Ceramic Social In-Person (6 Sessions)

“It’s been a very long time since I have been creative with ceramics (since art class in high school almost 20 years ago) and recently decided I needed a creative outlet to balance my crazy work life. I found Elizabeth’s “Ceramic Social” and couldn’t be happier with the class. She has a super cool studio in Venice and the class is a ton of fun with a super laid back vibe. Her instruction is great (and her personal art work is incredible) and she’ll teach you how to build whatever vision/ideas you have in your head. I’ve personally made some aggressively large pieces that I would not have been able to do without her instruction. I’d say the class is great for all levels: People who have no experience building clay, people who do, and everyone in between. For the inexperienced, she’s great at giving suggestions and instruction (by example) for first time pieces/projects. Bonus: I’ve met some really cool people there as well, that I would not have, hadn’t I taken her class
  • This class is brilliant. Loved the teacher and the studio. It's really worth it since you can use the studio at any time during the month of the workshop too
  • One Timers Intro to Pottery

Half of time in the wheel, the other half doing hand pottery. Great initial exposure to both!
  • Absolutely worth the money. You basically become a member of the studio for the duration of your class, but without the need to pay for any supplies! You have full access to all the wheels, as much clay as you can possibly need, and you can make as many things as you have time for! You can come early, and stay hours after class ends. My only note for future students is to schedule your classes during the cooler months! I took class during the summer, and the studio isn't air conditioned and they keep it at 70% + humidity, so it was a bit exhausting. But I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking to get into Pottery! This class is really what you make it, with tons of freedom to create whatever you want to, and the instructors to help you get there.
  • Great class! Loved Jennifer's teaching style and I've totally caught the ceramics bug. Pretty nice studio and location.
  • One Timers Intro to Pottery

Loved it! Can't wait to return.
  • Pottery Making

Fantastic introduction class! We were making pots within the first lesson.
  • Wheel Pottery Thursday Night

This class was great! I had never used the pottery wheel before and the instructor, Matt, was very helpful and patient. I liked the class so much that I signed up for a month of classes. I look forward to going back next week!
  • Beginning Wheel Throwing

Sara is a great teacher and very graceful in doing her work. She patiently taught me on each process and took her time to guide me through my struggles. I would love to come back again. Thank you for giving me a great experience in pottery class.

John was a great instructor and I'd love to take another class but I don't live in LA! Would definitely recommend this class!!
  • Personable, knowledgeable, fun, and caring. Definitely take a class from Destiny!
  • Introduction to Pottery

It was a fun class! I had no background at all with pottery and Lina is a great teacher. She guides you step by step but also let's you do it on your own. I'm definitely taking more classes.
  • Introduction to Pottery

Superb, kind and patient instruction from Lina. I made THREE WHOLE BOWLS in my first class! It was great fun, and I can't wait to return.
  • Sunday Morning Beginning Wheel Throwing

Destiny was amazing! She was patient and really took the time to guide us (all 3 of us had never done this before). If we didn't like how our clay was shaping up, she would show us how to get what we wanted. Such a great class and we can't wait to see how it turns out!!
  • Beginner Wheel: Adult
