The Story Source is a consulting company run by Andrew Linderman that helps businesses, non-profits and creative professionals develop and share their stories more effectively.
Andrew was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic throughout the duration of the course. He gave some great tips which I am so grateful to have learned!
Andrew's approach to public speaking different and interesting, focusing on feeling physically present rather than giving you a checklist of do's and don'ts. After receiving this "mindfulness"-oriented coaching, I felt empowered me to develop my own style and voice and just be in front of people to tell a story.
Lots of good tips on how to be more comfortable and confident presenting or speaking .
Andrew was smart, funny, energetic and accommodating. I learned a lot and reframed my idea pitching. He packed a lot of information into a few hours and offered a short free follow up, which gives you time to digest the information. Great experience!
This was a very practical, "learn by doing" class. I loved that he proved or guided us to discover consequences/abilities for ourselves before explaining the results; we experienced for ourselves an improvement in focus or memory as a result of posture, awareness and focus. The class was small (7 people) and well structured, with a clear beginning, middle and end. It moved smoothly from theoretical structure to practice to wrapping up a summary of the most important takeaways to remember. The materials and content he prepared were all excellent quality. Andrew is clearly committed and passionate about helping people improve. He stayed late on his own time to make sure we got the full benefits of the course, when factors out of his control disrupted the start. He's extremely professional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him if my company wants to bring in a coach or if my friends need help with interviews, networking or negotiation.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Immediate application and a good framework for all interviews and interview like conversations in business. Would go again and highly recommend for all except technical interview prep. I.e. this is focused on behavioural interviews.
Great instructor. Very informative
Really enjoyed this class. Opened my eyes to different ways to tackle my public speaking and ways to improve that’s far deeper than a good speech but in knowing your body. Loved his enthusiasm!!!! Wish more people in the class had just as much energy but makes sense since we are all nervous to talk publicly. He made it comfortable and had some really good points. Wish it was a multiple session and one class is not enough. Highly recommend!!
Class for the most part was good and meets the purpose of why we were there. I do feel that the instructor try too much to stick to schedule that many individual concerns or questions were brushed off. I also feel the class needs to be a little more individualized in the sense that 2 people go up at a time, perform a mock interview and then get individual feedbacks since I feel it’s a group small enough to make time for it.
Unlike most such presentations, that try to jam in too much in a short time, the instructor completed his presentation (on time). Nice combination of instruction and demonstration (work groups) to back it up. real learning and takeaway.
