Description

Le Gourmet Kitchen is a design & remodeling company, co-founded by Bruce Colucci and Jonathan Salmon in 1992.  As kitchen designers who love to cook, they created a showroom with a unique twist – one that combines their passion for design with their zest for the culinary arts.

And so in 2014, they created Le Gourmet Culinary Center to host hands on and intimate cooking classes for those who share their love of food and food preparation. The Culinary Center is located in the Le Gourmet Kitchen show room just outside the circle in the heart of Old Towne Orange with five-star chef, Martin Gilligan.

Whether you’re just a beginner or already a gourmet cook, come join us and unleash your inner chef.   We have a class for everyone.

this class recently came on Groupon. i think that's why they are stuffing these classes. my class was REALLY packed of 15 ppl in there. barely any room for everyone to even stand at the counter. due to the size of the class, you get grouped into a group of 3. so you basically have to share your ingredients and the macarons made during the class together when you leave. so you are only leaving with about 10-12 macarons per person. also because there are so many people, the instructor doesn't really have the time to properly teach you the skills you need to make the macarons. the finished products i ended up taking home with me were poorly made. the shells 'rose' but were basically empty inside. but she never actually taught us how to avoid those issues. or how to pipe. it was ridiculous. if you don't already know how to make these, you won't really learn anything. save your money. i bought another macaron class from them so i HAVE to go one more time.

I was really excited about taking this class. I drove from LA to Orange County just to know that the class was cancelled. They should've let me know. I'm expecting my refund as soon as possible.

The class was fabulous, very informative and fun!!! The chef (s) were both instructionally and were made baking easy. I was hoping to have the opportunity to use different types of flours. we used standard AP flour and some bread flour, but wished we could have tried some gluten free flours or rice flours but all in all the class was great and one I would recommend to my friends
