What you'll learn in this meditation class:

Throughout history, people have aspired to create societies that express the dignity of human existence within a wise, flourishing culture. This is the vision of Shambhala - and the path towards creating that is meditation. Contemplative practices bring a natural sense of goodness, fearlessness, and humor into our ordinary lives.

This is the first course in our core program, The Way of Shambhala, which provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation. This series is designed to be applied to the complexity of our daily lives, and to develop courage and sanity in these troubled times of uncertainty. The Way of Shambhala series offers a structured path of meditation and an introduction to all that Shambhala offers. It also offers a glimpse of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing the ways in which meditation can impact our daily lives, and from there how the sanity of meditation can expand to impact our whole society.

The Meditation in Everyday Life class is the beginning of the Way of Shambhala and is a five week course designed to provide students with the introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in everyday life. It can be taken as a follow-up to Shambhala Training Level I or II, or if you have no previous experience with meditation.
