What you'll learn in this public speaking class:
The thought of speaking in front of an audience can throw normally calm and confident people into a frenzy. In this workshop, participants will get expert coaching and feedback on ways to strengthen their public speaking skills, from techniques to ease frayed nerves to exercises designed to build confidence and improve focus.
We’ll start the workshop with improvisational games designed to build self-confidence and sharpen listening skills before tackling specific public speaking challenges in breakout groups. By the end of the workshop, all participants will have the tools necessary to become powerful communicators, and will feel more confident speaking in front of groups of all sizes.

Andrew was amazing! I went into this “workshop” with a bit of apprehension. All of these feelings drifted away as the night went on. What I loved about the event was the way it was carefully planned. Like a good “behind-the-scenes” featurette, Andrew described exactly what we were going to do, how it was going to play out, and what we were expected to gain from the results. Each activity was fun, interesting, insightful, and ultimately, I came away with an understanding of what needed to change, what was good and what could improve, all in the name of “Public Speaking 101”. Thank you, Andy!

Public Speaking 101
Public speaking was always been a dreaded thought of mine; it always made me feel anxious and apprehensive even at the thought of it. I was even anxious to take classes like this one because of the thought of needing to present. But Andrew gave us the tools necessary to combat the inner voice that becomes our saboteurs and that is essentially the core focus of the class...the rest follow. I learned how essential breathing is and all the little cues I never realized deterred me from speaking publicly well previous. I will definitely take more classes from The Story Source.

In the limited amount of time we had, Andrew conveyed a bunch of really useful information that will help me control my public speaking fears in the future. He also took the time to talk with me for a while after the class on the phone to answer any follow-up questions or concerns I had, which really helped the information stick.
