Dive into the colorful and meditative world of circular weaving. This hands-on session introduces the timeless art of weaving on a circular loom, learning the basics of warp and weft, experimenting with textures, colors, and patterns to create woven masterpieces.
As they weave, participants will not only develop their fine motor skills but also explore the calming, focused state that comes with this ancient craft. Perfect for both beginners and those with some experience, our workshop offers a unique opportunity for creative expression and the joy of making something beautiful by hand.
Notes:
TCC workshops are designed specifically for the unique and transformative ages of 10-13. Consequently, we have made the decision to not allow younger siblings (or crafters under 10) to participate in these workshops. This policy enhances the quality and enjoyment of the experience for our tween participants, providing them with a valuable opportunity to grow, learn, and express themselves among peers who are at the same social-emotional and developmental stages in life.
Class Requirements:
- Crafters must be at least 10 years old to participate. No exceptions.
Sample Class Format:
- Please leave your devices at home or in your bag for the duration of the workshop. These workshops are hands-on and screen free.
Optional:
- Parents have the options to stay or drop off. (For parents who stay, you do not have to participate. Wifi available, but no cell phone conversations or outside food in our studio, please.)
