Flower pounding is a dynamic and accessible craft technique that enables you to create one-of-a-kind designs by capturing the natural colors and shapes of flowers and leaves on fabric. This rewarding method connects you directly with nature while adding artistic beauty to a variety of items, including clothing, wall hangings, greeting cards, framed artwork, and other decorative pieces. In this class, you'll combine traditional flower pounding techniques with watercolor pencils and art pens to design and create beautiful, personalized cotton tote bags that showcase your artistic vision.
This class is part of our Drop In Crafting Table series, which invites you to visit our Pico Boulevard studio and create at your own comfortable pace. We rotate our drop-in projects weekly, and most crafts can be completed in approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Experienced teachers are available throughout the session to provide guidance and support for this self-directed crafting experience, allowing you to learn while working independently.
Important Workshop Information: This workshop involves hand tools and materials that create significant noise during the pounding process. It is not recommended for individuals who experience sensory sensitivities or auditory hypersensitivity. Attendees who are sound-sensitive may find earplugs beneficial during the session.
