Patricia Flaherty Pagan

Teaches at WriteSpace Houston

Patricia Flaherty Pagan earned her MFA in creative writing from Goddard College. Through Goddard, she taught workshops on writing short fiction at the American Women’s Association of Jakarta, Indonesia. After graduation, she founded the mission-oriented, indie publisher Spider Road Press. She is the author of Trail Ways Pilgrims: Stories, which includes the award-winning story “Bargaining.” Her flash fiction has appeared in myriad journals and anthologies. Her flash piece “Pillion 2006” won an honorable mention in the 2009 Carolyn A. Clark Flash Fiction Contest, and was included in Our Space: Shorts and Poetry from the Houston Community. She edited the anthology Up, Do: Flash Fiction by Women Writers, and recently sat on the five-judge panel that awarded the 2015 Spider’s Web Flash Fiction Prize.
