Lisa Meeks

Teaches at Define Body & Mind

Lisa was born and raised in Louisiana, and moved to the Houston area over a decade ago. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University, a Master of Education degree from Sam Houston State University, and a Doctor of Education degree from University of Houston.

When Lisa is not spending time with her children or focusing on health and wellness, she works as a University Supervisor to student teachers at Houston Baptist University. Prior to this position and having two babies one year apart, she worked full time in public education. During her years in public education, she served as a district administrator, high school administrator, high school English teacher, and dance/drill team director.

In addition, Lisa enjoys volunteering and serving her community.

From being an LSU Tiger girl, taking dance classes, and playing recreational sports to running in races and participating in group fitness, health and wellness have always played an important part of Lisa’s life. After having her second baby, she took Define baby classes, and she was hooked.Being part of the Define community allows Lisa to combine three of her passions, teaching, health and wellness, and helping people. Not to mention, it gives her the opportunity to build a community with amazing people.
