Jackie Ochoa-Mendez

After a move across the country from New York City to Houston and a 30 lb weight gain, Jackie was hit with the reality that she wouldn't be able to rely on genetics and youth to stay at a fitness level that she was happy with.

She soon fell in love with Pilates and yoga and realized that she wanted to make a bigger life change than just lose weight.

In 2012, she quit her marketing job and started managing a local Pilates/yoga studio as well as earned her first fitness certification. Soon after, she earned an NCSF certification as a personal trainer.

She loves what she does. She is constantly challenged and learning something new. She works with clients of all fitness levels, but has the most experience with clients looking to lose weight and strength train.  Jackie also incorporates corrective exercise for people who haven't worked out in a while...or ever.

As a fitness professional, she has learned the importance of the mind-body connection, having realistic and attainable goals, and having compassion with yourself on a daily basis.
