MO’RHYTHM School of Percussion

MO’RHYTHM School of Percussion is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded by Monette Marino. The organization began in 1995 as Baraka Int’l Arts and in 1999 became Tam Tam Mandingue USA. Our school is known for its holistic and all-encompassing approach to teaching. In addition to drumming techniques and rhythms, students also learn about African traditional songs, stories and folklore, cultural history and the significance of music and dance in daily village life.

Mission Statement: MO’RHYTHM School of Percussion is dedicated to fostering interest and participation in traditional West African cultural art forms of drumming and dance, as well as preserving and transmitting the Mandingue musical tradition as tools to promote tolerance, understanding, equality, and international peace.
