Learn the full gamut of Avid Media Composer and Symphony tools and techniques.

Learn the full gamut of Avid Media Composer and Symphony tools and techniques--everything from simple primary color corrections to creating a polished, multi-layer finished grade. Learn to read video scopes, perform primary grades with HSL and Curves, perform secondary color correction, use Paint and AniMatte effects to create spot corrections, leverage Symphony's correction relationships to speed the grading workflow, and much more. 

This class will teach you the art of color correction, help you get a creative leg up on the competition, and put you on the road to mastery of Avid Media Composer and Symphony.

Who Should Attend: Editors, assistant editors, colorists 

Pre-requisites: Avid Media Composer courses MC101- Editing Essentials, MC110- Effects Essentials, or equivalent experience. MC201- Professional Picture & Sound Editing, MC205- Professional Effects & Compositing are also recommended.

Moviola Education Center reserves the right to cancel any course at anytime for any reason, however, cancellations are usually made no less than 72 hours prior to the course start date. In the event of a cancellation by Moviola Education Center, students have the option of being rescheduled for another course date or receiving a full refund.  

Students may cancel their enrollment in any course by providing notice to CourseHorse no less than 72 hours prior to the start time of the class. Any cancellation received less than 72 hours prior to the start time of the class will result in the student being charged a $150 late cancellation fee. "No-shows" will be charged the full published rate for the course and will receive no refund for any payments already made.
