What you'll learn in this bread class:

Baking Challah is a gift!

The braided Challah, which is made with eggs, is the Jewish Sabbath and holiday bread.

What is Challah

The pure word challah means “a loaf of bread".Very simple! But, behind the Challah, it is a long tradition for Jewish women to make it every Friday before Shabbat.

My heart is full of love and devotion when I am preparing the Challah bread.

I want to share this unique and intimate moment with you.

This course is for all people wanting to learn how to make a delicious and spiritual bread for the happiness of your family.

On this course, we will prepare the dough, wait for the rise, braid and bake the bread. We need 3 to 4 hours.

I will tell you the full story of the Challah. I encourage you to bake beautifully braided bread for all your family, with love and respect.

Join me for a hands-on class of bread baking, spending a good time around a family table, and... take your homemade Challah to your house…

Coffee, water, tea, cookies will be available.

All ingredients are included in the price. The client will leave the course with his or her Challah.

Please do not bring anything to the kitchen. Everything is provided.

Question from Catherine T.
I do not have a question. I just wanted to share the great experience that my girlfriend and I had with Shalom. The Challah bread turned out delicious and the time we shared with the teacher was very rewarding and we feel like we gained a friend. Her home is welcoming and she is so open to share her culture and the tradition of the Challah bread. Thank you Shalom!

Shalom was an incredible teacher. My challah turned out amazing, and so delicious, but more important I made a new friend and a cherished memory. I would take another class of hers in a heart beat.
