Capture incredible nighttime images of DC's most exciting monuments and memorials. Join Instructor Geoff Livingston for this unique nighttime photography class.
You will learn how to capture long exposures, tips and techniques for framing interesting compositions, tips for street photography at night and more. We’ll be capturing compelling images of the following monuments; the Jefferson Memorial, the WWII Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial.
Recommended Gear
Attendees should bring the following equipment:
- A DSLR or mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with lenses in the range from 14-100 or greater.
- A sturdy tripod and either remote cord or trigger.

Participants should be familiar with their camera settings and with exposure controls such as ISO, Aperture and Shutter. We will not be able to introduce you to this material at this class. If not familiar with these topics, consider taking the DSLR Photography Basics class first.
