See the world in a new way with the camera that’s always with you, your phone. Enjoy capturing images on your phone on an indoor photo walk that’s designed to spark creativity!

Discover technological achievements to help you capture a meaningful photograph of what you feel rather than just what you see.

The class will start with basic instruction on the operation of the native mobile phone’s camera. We’ll then cover some of the more advanced features, such as setting focus and exposure independently.

We'll explore how to turn the mobile camera’s limitations such as limited lenses, fixed aperture, and a small sensor, to advantages using creative techniques of focus, exposure and composition.

Create photos on an easily paced indoor photo walk with guided instruction coupled with gentle critique and suggestions to make your pictures the best they can be.

Topics include:

  • Use proper techniques and settings for Phone image capture
  • Adjust focus and exposure manually to create a compelling image
  • See hidden details for creative compositions
  • Use hidden phone settings to create long exposures for in camera motion (ICM).
This class is designed for users of iOS and Android mobile devices. Participants will need to bring a fully charged phone.

  • A refund or a credit towards another class (less a $20 processing fee) can be given if cancellation notice is given more than 6 business days from the scheduled class.
  • If there is no cancellation notice, or it is given 6 business days or less, no refund or credit will be given.

  • Requests to reschedule a class will incur a $20 processing fee provided notice is given more than 6 business days prior to the class.
  • If request to reschedule is given less than 6 business days prior to the class, no refund or credit will be given.

If the school cancels or postpones a class due to weather or low enrollment, you can choose a full refund or a credit towards a future class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
